With a graveside service, there is no chapel or church service, however most families do have a visitation time the night before.  This is a funeral conducted at the site of burial in the cemetery with those attending protected from the elements by tents.  The tents, chairs, casket, flowers and other equipment are set up prior to the arrival of family and friends.  Once the service has been conducted, the body is buried.  The family and friends will be allowed a "time of reflection"  and then escorted from the cemetery where the grave will be closed and flowers, memorials, etc. will be placed.
