Annie Ruth Lewis - July 23, 2007

Annie Ruth Lewis, 55, of the Cash Corner Community, Vandemere, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 23, 2007 at Craven Regional Medical Center, New Bern.

Homegoing Service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 12 Noon in St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. F.L. Hyman, Pastor, Officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in Hudnell Cemetery.

She was a member of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, Vandemere, prior to relocating to Brooklyn, New York, where she was employed with Merrill Lynch for 20 years. After leaving New York, she relocated back to Pamlico County where she was employed as a CNA until her health declined.

Her loving spirit will be cherished by 1 SON, Dwayne Lamont Lewis, Sr. of the home; 5 GRANDCHILDREN, Dwayne Lewis, Jr. and Dequante Lewis both of Bayboro, Jayquan Wright and Dominique Jordan both of New Bern and Jaquan Gibbs of Maribel; her mother, Doris L. Miller of Maribel; 7 BROTHERS, Larry Gibbs (Sharon) of Oriental, Ervin Gibbs (Willie Mae) and Samuel Mufaro (Laura) both of Raleigh, Christopher Gibbs of Bellingham, Massachusetts, Dennis Hamilton (Veronica) of Aurora, Hubert Gibbs, Jr. of Japan, and Jerome Gibbs of Greenville; brother-in-law, Michael Langley of Washington, NC; a special neice, Shalandia Lewis; special friend, Hattie Love and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, classmates, other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held on Friday, July 27, 2007 at Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., 701 West Street, New Bern, from 12 Noon- 6PM and on Saturday at the church one hour prior to the service.

Her remains are resting peacefully at Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., New Bern (252)637-5141.
