Vivian Marie Bell Scott, 88, of the Tuscarora Community, New Bern, entered
into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at the Carolina East Medical
Center.
She was a member of Virgin Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she served
on the Mother's Board and was President of the Culinary Committee.
Vivian will be forever cherished by: her beloved HUSBAND of 58 years,
Marvin Scott, Sr. of the home; 1 SON, Marvin Scott, Jr. of Grifton; 2
DAUGHTERS, Edna Ruffin of the home and Lillie Scott-Carr (Fred) of
Greenville; 1 STEP-DAUGHTER, Elizabeth Carter of Utah; 3 GRANDSONS; 4
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN; 2 BROTHERS-IN-LAW; 1 SISTER-IN-LAW; and a host of
other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010 from 6-7PM at Rivers-Morgan
Funeral Home, Inc., 701 West Street, New Bern, North Carolina.
Homegoing Service will be held on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the
Virgin Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Rudolph Shannon, Jr.,
Pastor, Officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in the
Scott Cemetery.
