Vito Wonsbey Petifud, 87, of Havelock, entered into eternal rest on
Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the Carolina East Medical Center.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving as a Filipino Scout
obtaining the rank of Tech Sergeant. He was awarded the World War II
Victory Medal and later worked for the military base in Subic Bay Olongapo
City, Phillippines for 25 years.
Vito will be forever cherished by: his WIFE, Esperanza Campos; his loving
and devoted DAUGHTER and SON-IN-LAW, Beverly Petifud Moore and Mgysgt
Derrick Moore of Havelock; 5 SONS, Howdon Petifud, Hougart Petifud,
Herggian Petifud, Han Petifud, and Hedrick Petifud all of Olongapo City,
Phillippines; 2 beloved GRANDDAUGHTERS, Derricka Moore of Jacksonville and
Derriel Moore of Winterville.
A private "Celebration of Life" Service will be held on Saturday, July 24,
2010 for Family and invited guest. Inurnment with military honors will be
held at a later date in Vito's homeland, the Phillippines.
