Robert Bowers - March 17, 2010

Robert Oscar "Buck" Bowers, 88, of Pollocksville, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the Brook Stone Living Center.

He was a Merchant Marine with the United States Coast Gurad serving in the Vietnam War. He retired from West Vaco after 24 years of dedicated service as a Carpenter.

"Buck" is survived by: his BELOVED WIFE of 53 years, Mary Jewel Hopkins Bowers of Pollocksville; 1 SON, Tommy Bowers (Peggy) of Maysville; 1 GRANDDAUGHTER; 1 GREAT-GRANDSON; 2 SISTERS, Zueleen Bowers of Georgetown, South Carolina and Teresa Landry of Vermont.

Graveside Service with military honors will be held on Monday, March 22, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville.
