Lillie Morris - June 6, 2010

Lillie Mae Fisher Morris, 99, of Beaufort, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at the Harborview Nursing Facility in Morehead City.

She was previously a member of Reels Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. Currently, she was a member of God's City of Refuge Church where she served on the Mothers' Board, Missionary Board, Usher Board and Stewardess Board.

Lillie Mae will be forever cherished by: 1 SON, Lewis Fisher, Sr. (Dora) of the Merrimon Community, Beaufort; 1 DAUGHTER, Christabel Collins of Beaufort; 20 GRANDCHILDREN; and a host of GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN and GREAT-GREAT GRANDCHILDREN; other relatives and dear friends.

The family will be receiving their friends and guest at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Lewis, Sr. and Dora Fisher, 355 Silver Dollar Road, the Merrimon Community, Beaufort.

Viewing hours will be held on Wednesday, June 09, 2010 from 2-5PM at Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., 701 West Street, New Bern and on Thursday at the church one hour prior to the service.

Mother Lillie Mae's Homegoing Service will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the God's City of Refuge, Newport, with the Apostle Willie L. Murray, Pastor, Officiating and the Rev. Lewis Fisher, Jr., Eulogist. The interment will immediately follow the service in the Reels Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery, the Merrimon Community, Beaufort.
