John Fenderson- May 22, 2010

John Stephen Fenderson, 72, of New Bern, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Carolina East Medical Center, New Bern.

He was employed as a newspaper presser with the News Day Newspaper in Long Island, New York for 18 years. He was also previously employed with the Officer's Club at the Cherry Point Naval Air Station and the Honeycutt Slaughter House of New Bern.

John will be forever cherished by: his WIFE, Edith Curtis Fenderson of Hyde Park, Massachusetts; 1 SON, John Stephen Fenderson, Jr. of New Bern; 3 DAUGHTERS, Natalie Fenderson (Alvin) of the Bridgeton Community, Shelia Farley (Derrick) of Boston, Massachusetts and Betty Jones of Bayboro; 10 GRANDCHILDREN; 1 BROTHER, George Fenderson of the James City Community; 3 SISTERS, Hattie Robinson of the Maribel Community, Bayboro, Mona Jarmon of New Bern and Georgianna Wilds (James) of Brooklyn, New York; other relatives and dear friends, including devoted friend, Clayton Davis.

Viewing will be held on Thursday at the Chapel one hour prior to the service.

Homegoing Service will also be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Memorial Chapel of Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., 701 West Street, New Bern, with the Rev. Leamon Dillahunt, Officiating.

John's earthly temple is resting peacefully in the care and comfort of: Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., New Bern, North Carolina (252)637-5141.
