Herman Hatchell, Jr. - June 7, 2010

Herman "Stick" Hatchell, Jr., 85, of the Georgetown Community, Jacksonville, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 07, 2010, while surrounded by loving family members.

"Stick" is a native of Richlands and was a graduate of Georgetown High School. He was employed with Civil Service aboard Camp Lejeune as a Supervisor for 35 years as an Inventory Clerk with the Special Services Division. He was previously a member of St. Julia A.M.E. Zion Church and currently a member of Washington Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Coastal Carolina Community College where he studied refridgeration and air conditioning repair.

Herman will be forever cherished by: his "sweet wife" of 62 years, Lucille Bellamy Hatchell of the home; 3 SONS, Tracy Hatchell and Darryl Hatchell (Diane) both of Jacksonville and Dwayne Hatchell (Amber) of Buford, Georgia; 4 DAUGHTERS, Theresa Hatchell, Shirley Flectcher (Luther) and Alice Hatchell (Zelb) all of Jacksonville and Doriscell Jones (Charles) of Richlands; 12 GRANDCHILDREN; 8 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN; 2 BROTHERS-IN-LAW; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

The family will be receiving their friends and guest at 260 Morths Lane, the Georgetown Community, Jacksonville.

Herman's Homegoing Service will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Washington Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Freeman White, Sr., Pastor, Officiating.
