Evelyn Lovick - March 21, 2010

Evelyn Jean Rae Jones Phifer Lovick, 75, of New Bern, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the Carolina East Medical Center.

She was a member of St. Peters A.M.E. Zion Church and a graduate of J.T. Barber High School. She was employed as a waitress for over 20 years.

Evelyn will be forever cherished by: 3 SONS, James Jones, Michael Jones and Darrius Jones all of New Bern; 1 DAUGHTER, Gloria Jones Simpson (Dwight) of New Bern; 9 GRANDCHILDREN; 27 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN; 4 BROTHERS, Raymond Jones, William Jones, Clifton Jones and Benjamin Jones; 1 SISTER, Emily Phifer; other relatives and dear friends, including Ruth Coleman, Linda Brown and Vanessa Hickman.

The family will be receiving friends at 1336 Hunters Road, New Bern.

Viewing will be held on Friday at the Chapel one hour prior to the service.

Homegoing Service will be held on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Memorial Chapel of Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., 701 West Street, New Bern, with the Rev. Linda Blount, Officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in Greenwood Cemetery.
