 Carrie Leonard - June 20, 2010
Carrie L. Leonard, 92, of the Belgrade Community, Maysville, entered into
eternal rest on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Onslow Memorial Hospital in
Jacksonville.
She received her education in the Onslow County Public Schools and was
employed as a caretaker for Special Needs children. She was a lifetime
member of St. Stephens A.M.E. Zion Church where she was a Consecrated
Deaconess and Missionary.
Carrie will be forever cherished by: 1 SISTER, Mary E. Harris of
Greensboro; 1 SISTER-IN-LAW, Annie Mae Ferguson of the Belgrade Community;
and a host of NEPHEWS, NIECES, other relatives and dear friends.
The family will be receiving their friends and guest at the residence of
her neice, Willie "Pat" Hicks, 127 Ruby Lane, the Belgrade Community.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 25, 2010, from 6-7PM at Morgan
Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Williamsburg Parkway, Jacksonville.
Homegoing Service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 2:00 PM in
the St. Stephens A.M.E. Zion Church with the Rev. Roscoe Linton, Pastor
and the Rev. Clyde L. Murphy, Sr., Eulogist. Interment will immediately
follow the service in White Oak Cemetery.
Carrie's earthly remains are resting peacefully in the care, comfort and
