Clinton Kornegay, Sr. - March 16, 2010

Clinton Levon Kornegay, Sr., 57, of Virginia Beach, formerly of Pollocksville, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at the Sentara Leigh Hospital.

 

He was a 1970 graduate of Jones County High School in Trenton and retired from the Virginia Beach General Hospital as a Radiologist Technician after 20 years of dedicated service.

Clinton will be forever cherished by: his BELOVED WIFE, Clara Mattocks Kornegay of the home; 3 SONS, Clinton L. Kornegay, Jr., Jehmal M. Kornegay and Shabid O. Kornegay; 2 GRANDCHILDREN; 1 BROTHER, Tony M. Kornegay; 1 SISTER, Virginia King; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Viewing will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.

Homegoing Service will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the St. Stephens A.M.E. Zion Church, the Belgrade Community, Maysville, with the Rev. Roscoe Linton, Pastor, Officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in the Mattocks Family Cemetery.

His remains are resting peacefully in the care and comfort of: Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Williamsburg Parkway, Jacksonville, North Carolina (910)347-9595.
